N Scale Modular - Los Tanimals (a.k.a Bob's Blue Circle Pickles and Branstone Cement Works)

The Bob's Pickles logo

The Bob's Blue Circle Pickles and Branstone Cement Works complex in the town of Los Tanimals, is a double module, measuring a total of 8' by 2'. It is unusual, in that the module to the west joins to the "front" and that to the east joins to the "back", thus:

A plan of Bob's Pickles

This enables the overall run of the main lines to deviate even more from a straight run than normal and is very visually appealing, especially as a long train snakes through.

As well as Bob's Blue Circle Pickles and Branstone Cement, there is Dunno-Watt Inc, the Fake News radio station, King's Scrapyard, several other industries and a small passenger depot. Spanning from one end of the module to the other is an overhead electric "inter-urban" shuttle service which runs a regular shuttle between communities at the extremities of the modules. This line can continue with an "add-on" module that attaches to the front of the Eastern Compact Yard to add a third stop: Tornado.

Los Tanimals and the Compact Yards have been carefully designed so that they can fit together with all their supporting equipment in a single large estate car, simplifying transport. Two or three operators are required and the layout has been very well received at a number of shows.
